The Karmøy wool sweater features a combination of cable knit and bold knit patterns based on the traditional Norwegian eight-petal rose. The sweater is made of 100% lightweight wool and has a crew neck that is lined with skin-soft merino wool for added comfort. The fit is casual and loose, and the construction is slightly different from other garments in our collection: this sweater is sewn together in the center of the cable pattern on the front and back, so it has no side seams.
A revolutionary new wool treatment with natural, non-toxic salts makes this wool sweater soft and machine washable.
This wool sweater is inspired by Irish Aran cable knit patterns. Ireland and Norway share a rich fishing tradition and heritage. Fittingly, the Karmøy sweater is named after an island off the west coast of Norway known for its rich fishing tradition.
