Norway’s official Olympic team sweater for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. The design is a fusion of Chinese and Norwegian traditions, with a nod to Olympic history. The star pattern on the chest originates from the classic Norwegian eight-petal rose. The form is sharpened and crystallized, inspired by Chinese paper folding (called zhezhi) and Asian cartoons.
The OL Spirit sweater is made of 100% skin soft merino wool. It features a durable double-knit construction which makes it ideal for an active lifestyle. Padded stripes along the sleeves and a padded Chinese inspired neck hints to alpine sweaters from the 70s. Padded letters spelling “Norway” are knitted discretely into the back, only revealed when the light casts shadows. A protective merino wool flap under the neck zipper ensures comfortable aeration, without exposing the skin to cold air. This sweater is a part of our extensive OL Spirit collection. (OL stands for Olympic Games in Norwegian: “Olympiske Leker”).
